The RSPA is pleased to announce it will be using the Cupanion Fill it Forward™ program at Inspire 2020 in an effort to reduce single-use items during the conference and help deliver clean water to people in need.

 

All attendees at Inspire 2020 can participate in the program by downloading the Fill it Forward™ app to their smartphones. When checking in at registration, place the sticker tag with a barcode on the refillable water bottles received at the desk. Water stations, located throughout the venue at conference events, will make refilling easy and convenient. This is one of several RSPA initiatives to engage members and contribute to positive current and future environmental sustainability.

According to their website, every time you refill, Cupanion gives clean water to a person in need. The website also states that access to clean water continues to be a daily challenge for children and families globally. Examples cited are:

• Every day women and girls spend 200 million hours collecting water.
• Water and sanitation-related diseases kill nearly 1 million people annually.
• Globally 844 million people – 1 in 9 – lack access to safe water.

 

Finally, the website states the commitment as “with every refill and scan we make a donation equal to a ‘cup of clean water’ so the more you reuse, the bigger the impact.”
